Yes, because bitcoin is the basis of market price, of bitcoin is down then the market is down too. This is the reason why a lot of us is hoping for the bitcoin to rise again.

it's very simple. when bitcoin falls every other coins will fall too.. because bitcoin is the main pair with every coin in trading... users are using bitcoin to trade the coins. so when value of bitcoin drop other coins drop their value as well..
I think other coins drop more in % than bitcoin... I don't see any coin independence from bitcoin so far.

It's my experience to.
I have bitcoin but also invested in some other crypto and pattern is always the same.
When btc price going up, other crypto value also going up, sometimes even faster.
When btc price going down, other coins price drop, ussually more than bitcoin.
