we cannot predict the faith of each and every altcoins whether they will survive or not. If an altcoin/s is not supported by many, it will not become profitable and later forgotten. Its market value will fall and eventually not going to survive. If we ask our selves does altcoins will survive or not?, it depends on ourselves. We have the power to make it alive just continue using it.
