It's part of pre rolling strategy. Player change seeds and depending on payout he chase pre roll certain number of bets. Nothing to lose or gain. And it's not a guarantee for winning.
"Preroll" may work because there is not true randomness, but pseudo-randomness. The falacy of the gamblers only apply when the true randomness exists.
