It's part of pre rolling strategy. Player change seeds and depending on payout he chase pre roll certain number of bets. Nothing to lose or gain. And it's not a guarantee for winning.

"Preroll" may work because there is not true randomness, but pseudo-randomness. The falacy of the gamblers only apply when the true randomness exists.

It's true, pre rolling can work. But still, this is gambling. Otherwise all would successfully pre roll and win.
