I beg to differ. There are lots of coins that are ready to take Eth head on. They may, or may not, overtake Eth and take the lion's share but they will definitely slow down Eth's rise. Take Byteball, for example. It is a better option than Ethereum. Byteball is like the Ethereum of DAG but with much simpler smart contracts and a friendly end-user interface that can be used by both the man on the street and developers. Ethereum is only for developers which, in the long run, will hurt its development.

Also, unlike Ethereum, Byteball gives developers access to all the users, and vice-versa, through the Byteball bot store. It is a bit like the Apple app store inside the Byteball wallet.
