You were purchasing a percentage of the mining power of the machine / percentage of the machine if a machine fails you own part of it.

For the "how are we trying to fix the miner", the only thing we can do is reboot it right now and send an email to knc, its not even displaying that its on our network that it's plugged directly into. The R15/16 one magically started to work, it wasn't working when we left for the night and it was working when we came in in the morning.

If you did that, and it still does not work it is hardware related and then you can write a mail to KNC.

Didn't even get a chance to try that...unplugged it / plugged it back in a few times...unplugged it again grabbed a drink plugged it back in and boom there it was.
