Tokens are locked for 6months and then one can unlock them, they stay yours all the time. Locked up tokens reduce the supply. And from what I can tell most keep the tokens locked for the staking rewards it is called, which are:

*50% discount on the profit-based invest service fees, paid monthly in MCO bought from the market
