I seriously don't know whats the purpose of this rent a bike using Crypto Currencies and this kind of act will not affect the Crypto Market industry in my opinion. Maybe the developer of the Lightning Network just wanted to promote his project with this kind of gesture.
I don't know why we humans want to make easy things more complicated instead of making it easier for us but I'm not against his idea of promoting his project I just don't the sense of making promotion like this. Grin

Makes no sense to me, and this isn't going to increase adoption. We've just introduced an alternative that isn't going to get used.

For me, that is not the right medium of promotion of the Lightning Network project based on my own opinion and point of view and just like you I see no sense about it. Maybe the developer should think other kinds of way to promote his creation and it should be a difficult scenario that could make it easier using the Lightning Network. Grin
