@Cloudbet_victim - Thank you for finally providing the information required to investigate the issue for you. I've been in contact with our support teams and can now offer some information on the situation.
During your security checks it was discovered that you are from a country that we clearly state we are unable to offer our services to, and had been using a VPN to bypass the restrictions in place at Cloudbet. Your account was locked while this was verified, after which you were contacted via email (Saturday 24th November) and told that the account had been unlocked and you were allowed to withdraw your remaining funds before the account is permanently closed.
The bets were cancelled when this was detected as we can't allow people from those territories to gamble with us. This was done before the results were in, and you were refunded your stake.
As mentioned by manosqq above, many bitcoin casino and sportsbooks would take the use of VPN as a breach of T&Cs and use it as an excuse to confiscate player's funds. I believe our approach is more player friendly.
Thanks,
Ronnie @ Cloudbet
"This was done before the results were in." This is not true and you are misleading the public.
My last bet was on Nov 11, results were also finalized on Nov11. I submitted my documents to you on Nov 19. So yes, you are cancelling the bets, not before the results were in which is obviously a lie.
Under your T&C, it was stated that:
3.4. You will not use our services while located in any jurisdiction that prohibits the placing and/or accepting of bets denominated in bitcoin online, and/or playing casino and/or poker games for and/or with bitcoin.
3.5. You are permitted in the jurisdiction in which you are located to use online sports betting, casino and poker services.
I provided a Hong Kong address proof doesn't mean that I am from that country. As I am not registering with you using HK passport you neither.
Put it this way. Assume there are only two countries in the world: UK & HK.
UK allows online bets, where HK prohibits.
Under this situation, you should ban people browsing from HK, no matter he is from UK or HK. That is, British travelling in HK cannot / should not place the bets because it violates the local laws there.
I am not holding a HK passport, all I did is to provide an address proof in HK. You cant prove that I was located in the jurisdiction that prohibits online gambling while I was placing the bets with you. Same case as casinos in Las Vegas wouldnt ban people from HK and China gambling there because the action took place in US.
Anyway, you just used your free option to cancel winning bets unreasonably. This is the way Cloudbet SCAMMERS doing business !
Setting your standard at not confiscate players fund is really hilarious. I dont kill you meaning that I am human friendly? Say thanks to me !
You are cancelling valid and legit winning bets AxxHO !Dont fall into CLOUDBET TRAPS !!
