I cut of zerohedge because I found the article to be plausible. The 2 following sites about ISIS using bitcoin though, though definitely possible, I'm personally not sure about.

As much as everyone doesn't like it, ISIS can use bitcoin all they want unfortunately. Without bitcoin though? They would be using fiat. So whats your point?

Me thinks a lot of the reason for the HODL bullshit in these forums is to keep BTC funded as its still used to move funds, and it still needs to retain value for the mission.

Not the first time CIA uses 'money' to fund black-market ops, much of the reason for AFGHAN or COLUMBIA control is to control opium & cocaine profits which are then funneled into black-bag ops, and of course to force all black-markets to trade in USD, which keeps the USD valuable all over the world.

Remember here not to pick on BTC, lets recall that CIA uses the USD much more than it uses BTC, but now with the newer laws and money laundering issues and new dectectors at airports that detect diamonds as well as gold, BTC is one of the only way safe ways to move around large assets un-detected by modern TSA security checks. Forever the MOSSAD used to carry diamonds up their ass to transport assets on mission, but now modern body-scanners can see that bag of glass up your ass, so BTC is one of the few games in town to move assets.

I agree CIA has been forever using USD, that is their mandate, but say trading herioin out of the vietnam war, or selling crack on the streets of LA in the 1980's, that was just 'butter on their bread' to fund the right/left-wing secret-programs, like now with Syria, and before with Nicaragua. BITCOIN just allows them to move finance deals without actually transporting cash, gold, or drugs.
