Hope is vital & necessary, but it depends from which perspective. I'm not hoping for another bull run in 2018, nor for a new ATH for BTC or ETH in 2019.
What I am hoping though - is enough correction on the market in general - to completely fill the bags throughout the whole of next year.
Trend following? Yes, only to keep them moderately busy & amused. Will have to hodl something at one point - and that will be only when bought in the very very lows.

Institutional money will crush this market to 0 so they can accumulate. The cheaper they bring eth down the more they will accumulate and the bigger fund managers commissions will be. Everybody who believes that he will sell to the institutionals at higher prices is beyond stupid he is retarded. That;s how they act they keep pushing the prices lower and force you to sell your eth to them.

i agree with you. they just want to buy cheap and hold everything then the push the price up and then they sell at the price they want
right now who are selling is making big mistake i think
what if the price again hit its all time high price in 2019 then seller will regret and buyers will be happy

looks like people thinking bitcoin and eth price decrease more so they are selling eth and bitcoin and holding usdt and when crypto price hit the bottom then they will buy again but how to know that what the bottom of crypto is in the current position what if current prices are the bottom and all of sudden prices starts rising?
i am buying eth with each dump and not selling it maybe a good investment right now buying crypto
