Absolutely, that's basically the only thing keeping Mou on the team right now, the board doesn't care about the league anymore since the team is 18 pts behind Man City, the only real objective right now is the Champions League, some people would say the other objective is finishing in the top 4 at the end of the season, but i'd say the board doesn't care about that either since they didn't sack Mou back in 2017 when they finished in 6th place.

So is that the reason why Mou still survives there, indeed in the world of football everything might happen, but it looks like it will be hard for Mou to win in the CL. Not being a CL champion and not in the top 4-5 standings at the end of the season, then it would be worse for Manchester United I think.
