It would be from version 0.1.x or 0.2.x, but I cant find any binaries of those online. I take it that it used a serialized format, but anything more specific would be very helpful. Magic bytes? Was it plaintext? JSON? XML?

Update: I traced it back to using version 0.1 or 0.2 of the bitcoinj library, which I found sort of a mirror of here:
