BTXM was always a commercial solution that was completely separate from BTX and this was stated pretty much from the beginning and even on the website. BTXM might just be a code name or it might stand for something else entirely.

Since when did BTXM become a separate project? As far as I know, BTXM has always been part of the Bitcore development strategy. Along with the fiat gateway and others.

Since day one. It is a commercial solution that happened to be aligned with BTX at the time. Now it is a commercial solution that is not particularly aligned with BTX.
