This is the first time I heard about this news and if it's true it will be awesome not only for Bitcoin and also for other Crypto Currencies as well if it supports it. If it is using satellite does it mean Bitcoin is literally skyrocketing to space for every transaction made in this kind of system? LOL Grin

Kinda like telemetry, I think, but this one processes more data and has more capacity compared to its predecessors. This is really an excellent news considering that there are still some parts of the world in which internet access is prohibited or not that reliable and stable. This could potentially change the game for the mining industry and travelers should they find themselves in a remote area that accepts bitcoins (this could happen) and without cash but only bitcoins on hand. As the article states, one only needs a USB device and a receiver to relay transactions and receive data from the satellite, and I just hope that it's not that expensive so as to really help change the shape of sending money wherever you are, literally.

I don't think it would be possible if using bitcoin without internet, what if they were very far away in a village that was not covered by satellites. Of course they will not be able to use without the internet, if that is true it will happen, of course everyone will feel happy without paying internet usage bills. But that is not possible, I think that's just your wish.

I think you're wrong because the satellite can access almost everywhere in the world because it is floating above our world in the space and there are multiple satellites that are floating above our planet. It is not impossible and it could be possible. Cool
