Actually of the things that people are now trying to put on a blockchain will turn out to be more difficult than initially thought.

The blockchain system itself is security, and almost all projects use it, but there is a constant adaptation and improvement.

It is supposed to be secure, but not all blockchains are secure as they aren't decentralized enough, for instance.
