Those who keep on saying that 2019 will be profitable are just being optimistic with no fact proving that the price will actually rise. They are just trying to bring positivity towards the current market situation or is just uttering some random guess/bullshit.
There will be always two sides, a fall or a rise. Which will take place can never be accurately predicted at all!

From your submission, you have admitted that they are trying to bring positivity into the market which I believe should be encouraged and not for you to take it as bullshit in your words.
