Currently marketcap of XRP is bigger than ETH's marketcap. I can't imagine the possibility of beating bitcoin with any alternative coin. XRP is centralized but i accept the fact that big banks should start from some point no matter which crypto they prefer.

I do agree, XRP is generating some higher volumes compared to ETH, due to hard fork and sudden increase in price makes the price of ETH decreased a lot in the market. I hope it will not cross the bitcoin but surely it will cross the volume of XRP.
