Don't you think that there is a possibility that they just switched telegram channels as they might be avoiding trolls/spammers in their old channel? I have seen it in the past and only a few members (the ones who left) have received the link for the new channel.

Switching to another platform for discussion might be the case, but they did not state anything related to that one. There are no official statements and pinned messages. The link in their website even directs to their telegram channel. It's like the admins didn't care at all and abandoned the channel.
