I hate to say it, but if the reason for the reband is to get away "sucka" in English, using "sin" is not a whole lot better.

Because word "sin" can have positive connotation. Like something good but forbidden.
SIN is never 'good' ...
Especially in the English language. It is NEVER a good thing to SIN, unless Evil is what you consider as being 'good'. The SIN title is a very bad thing in all english speaking (and most non-english) languages which is one of the reasons that the title SIN is not going to go down well. NEVER in the history of any marketable business has something like this ever succeeded based on the name only, unless you are in Porn or the Occult.
Very bad choice of title, especially coming from some of those developers who actually have a religious background like Catholicism or Christianity of any sort.
It is what it is either way, so as much as anyone can say about SIN itself, time will tell how bad the decision was.

Sin - as defined by Wikipedia "stemming from Adam and Eve's rebellion in Eden, namely the sin of disobedience in consuming the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil"
Kinda like all the crypto space is encouraging people to "disobey" those in power and learn about the good and evils of the fiat world?
