Challenges is simply what gives learning to every people. It does also makes an individual stronger particularly with the struggles and downfalls in their lives. We do all have our own darkest times in which we would or have felt too much negativity like there are no other solutions but to just give up. I do think that it simply boosts one's character especially if he would be able to overcome such situation. "To come back stronger", as they like to say. Defeats are just normal. Loses are meant to be experienced by anyone and there's nothing wrong with that. Just look at the bigger picture that these challenges are simply, creating a new, better, and stronger you.

Can you give an example to make it clear? it is a bit broad.

I'll make gambling as an example. In this kind of activity, losing is more expected to happen than winning. But why do people still choose to play despite of the risk? because everytime they are losing, they would have a mentality to come back with a win on the next day. What inspires them is the fact that there are people who are winning.
