I do gamble daily. I find enjoyment playing slots and poker but I do assure that I won't be losing that much because of such activity. I have experienced before losing huge amount of money because I was addicted into it. But gladly, I have appreciated the importance of the rewards and discounts which minimized my expenses in gambling. Also, I am not that eager to have huge meanings and as I have mentioned, am now just playing to kill time and not for profit.
By making requirements for ourselves when to gamble, such as having spare money or free time, I think we can curb ourselves from gambling when the conditions aren't met. We just need to follow our own rules as long as possible. I do gamble regularly but when I hit my limit I am able to force myself to stop!
That's what you called proper self discipline and maintaining that attitude towards gambling you can enjoy gambling with some limitation of risk.
We gamble but it's nice if we can do it occasionally or just for fun as there is less risk in gambling for fun than for money.
