A gambling addict may really have a hard time solving it alone. A good solution is turning oneself to a rehabilitation center. This way, the participation and interaction with other patients will enhance themselves.

Thats why its best to have a support channel like having your family by your side and believing that you can conquer it. I know it would be hard for them to quit, not to mention the feelings he/she is going to face towards the world when he/she comes back to it, its not going to be pretty. They might easily get back to their old ways instantly.
