the ethereum position will remain there, not replaced by other altcoins or change the position of bitcoin. until now ethereum is the best altcoin. unlike XRP, i don't mean to drop XRP. but i prefer ethereum than XRP.

right I agree with you ETH will not depend on XRP maybe if the XRP for the price will remain slightly below ETH, because for now ETH stays above XRP, but if XRP can be above ETH hopefully it will provide many benefits for other coin coins too
