You should only just choose those altcoins that are in the top 10 because they acquire lesser amount of risk. Yes, you could not earn a lot here, but it is guaranteed that you cam earn 2-20% of your investment in time.

Using coinmarketcap top 10 approach doesnt guarantee that the project will still not fail or its best for investment, most important is the quality of the products they offer after ICO, with the manipulation many people assumed to be going on in the market, if true, it means that those marketcap value manipulated may not have a good product to speak for them which is why they end up looking for a way to manipulate it and get investors attention since majority of them look out for top 10 or top 20 to invest in, once they reach certain market cap they desire in real time and can no longer pay for it to be manipulated, they will end up crashing back to almost the lowest.
