This is wrong, everyone enjoys to be in a chat box that has a lot of talks and funny discussions.

Discussion, trash talks, gossips, all these make for a more entertaining experience in a gambling site. Though i think this feature is more prominent in pvp games like poker so you really get to interact with other players or with audiences watching the same table.

And I don't find it insulting when someone is trying to bug me with my losses especially during those poker days on facebook.

Yeah that zynga poker days, I've been playing that and it's fun to be with other players on the chat box.
