Unfortunately, due to the recent 51% attacks on so many Top Market Capitalization coins such as Ethereum Classic and many others, Quark and other algorithms are being used to help protect against these actions. For a new coin, it's very easy for Nicehash to be used to take over the hashrate and for the coins to be dumped on an exchange. Quark and other POS algorithms help protect against these actions, and it's why many developers have used Quark to protect their projects and coins for its users and community.

It helps protect against potential 51% attacks, and it helps prevent misconduct for all of a project's community.
