Electric car is far better than gasoline car to me in terms of cost effective but I do think that many of our leaders may not going to allow that to materialized because of the money they are making from oils industries.

When electric cars becomes the part of people's daily commute oil industry will experience a big blow. This will directly affect the economy of large number of countries. For that reason electric cars won't be much supported as mentioned in the above quote. To the growing population and to the pollution happening through the cars operated on fuel, electric cars could reduce the pollution to some extent.
