Well, yes he is. We need more peoples who thinks like Satoshi Nakamoto, finding a solution with new technology.
He was thinking how can peoples send money without middleman in anytime, anywhere around the world.
And thats how bitcoin was created, followed by other cryptocurrencies.

The world will really be a smooth and perfect place if we can have people like satoshi, just one of his IDEA has given birth to lots of other projects that has made life very meaningful to people that has gotten involved in them.

The idea of satoshi was to only create a system void of third party like you said but look at where we are now; it has also in turn created a system where people can make money by investing through the blockchain technology. I would want to believe that the reason why government may not be happy with satoshi is because they know the world will see him as the savior to their financial issues instead of relying on them to bring solution.
