LOL the guy would threaten war over trash but ask his citizens to just accept Chinese dominance after their territory in the South China Sea has been stolen and their fishermen regularly harrassed and extorted by the Chinese Coast Guard. Even went so far as to joke that the Philippines better just voluntarily join China as a new province.

You basically described how bullies operate. I don't think Canada would take the bait though. Unlike say, US or China, they don't have as much geopolitical stake in the region.
