They do have this medicine kit turned into spider's room where they put all their warrior spiders. Terrifying but these guys are letting the spiders crawl their fingers. We usually put the caught spider in a small matchboxes and inside of it we placed the stick to divide it to 4 spaces, almost filipino who living near fields are not afraid of spider (This is type of spider we hunt called neoscona punctigera) and even me I put the spiders it to my hands.

Speaking of that small matchbox I remember my youngest brother who was so angry because his spider was eaten by the ants and all was dead dead, lol. Cheesy

Spiders fight to bet is very common here in the Philippines which is a majority of them was in a village or those in rural areas which is easy to find spiders. This kind of betting gambling is clearly against the right of animals or even insects but still, they have the right to stay longer and very useful to our ecosystem and one of that help to minimize of multiplying mosquitos and flying insects.

LOL! I was enjoying reading all the replies. May it be negative or positive but I just want these gambling activities to have an exposure among other countries that do not know about our culture. This is what my countrymen are good at violating the rights of the animals but still there is no action from the government. It seems that the government employees are even going out also to enjoy gambling betting in an animals fight.

Dont try to criticize your fellow countrymen just for this thing and hence spider fights are seasonal or not permanent and these spiders arent really that endangered thats why i dont see a reason why would impost a strict law about on these animal or insect fights?

I agree, and spider fight is not an animal fight. Spiders belong to the arachnid family, and or weaver spiders are not endangered, maybe tarantulas are, but not this one. And the one the picture is not an orb weaver spider, it's a Argiope and they don't bite each other when they are fighting, they are just weaving each other, so I guess after someone won, you could just simply remove the web and let the spider go.
