I agree that he should have some bitcoins first before others, but if he plan to lock down that investment for a year only I think some coins will make higher progress than bitcoin. I think you are right.
Bitcoin is a safer (if we can say so) option.
But properly selected altcoins certainly have every chance to reward their boss with higher profits then bitcoin. The coins you listed are good and promising.
Additionally, one can consider exchange tokens like BNB coin.
