I don't think that the goal of Bitcoin is to compete with gold. Bitcoin price might surpass gold but gold will still survive as an investment. It's one of the oldest assets of value that people trust the most. And I think that Bitcoin investors and gold investors differ and there will always be   those who will prefere one above the other. In general, Bitcoin and gold shouldn't be compared.
