You are absolutely right, but the two do not rule out each other.
I didn't said anything about the forum you mentioned,just mentioned how popular that bitcointalk was/is and will be.

Yes, bitcointalk is very popular.
The popularity of the Bitcointalk has made it very difficult for any cryptocurrency’s forum to survive. I could remember alcoinforum and icoforum that were even paying people to posts and the owners waste a lot of money and at end the forum were abandoned after they stop paying. In reality it will be very difficult to compete with Bitcointalk because of the number of personalities here and the quality information they are sharing relating to cryptocurrency here.
