Real world adoption is happening but not like how internet or mobile phone technologies were successful in more quicker time. It is not easy to convince all types of people to adopt an ALL NEW MONEY. Definitely it will reach but the question of time-frame is the mystery. This is the reason almost all positive predictions about bitcoin will be successful but time based ones may not.

You are right because the internet and mobile technology was welcomed by every country around the world and there was crazy expansion in the rate of adoption of that technology. When it comes to crypto, there are concerns with the states and governments about many things related to decentralization and anonymity. So yes it will take some time but will ultimately happen.

Not everyone holding bitcoin at the moment so in the process of price increase more people will join will that literally increases the price so compare to the price loss due to selling will be less which make the prices to increase overall.

Bitcoin is going to reach $42K or $50K some even say $1M as well,but the reality is it can be known only when people starts adopting it.
