Case in point. 3-4 examples being mentioned doesn't mean there are only 3-4 "exceptions", it actually looks more like a "rule" rather than "exception": 4 out of top 6 merit earners (except theymos and your buddy o_e_l_e_o) are not native English speakers and there are many further down the list too, ~45 in the top 100.
