I guess it's getting faded. Economics nowadays getting harder.
But I believe one thing, that every living creature brings their own fortune. Thus, you don't need to worry about not being able to afford a child. Money will come from some unexpected ways as long as you're sincere.

Yes you are right people in the past believed that the more children they are the luckier they are but now the less they are the better. It is okay to have a child but if you do not have the money to make him a man according to your ability then it is useless.
