I dont think paper money is a scam. Such money, at first not even on paper, has existed for almost half a millennium and has completely justified itself economically. If you follow all the rules and do not print extra paper money, then they are fully justified and contribute to the growth of the economy of any state.
The argument that paper money is the path to slavery has no objective justification. Paper money has been and will be used for a long time in any state.

It isn't a scam literally but on the sense on how fiat does control the entire society then you will surely understand.
