I recently installed Electrum 3.3.8 from electrum.org and have verified the download.

  • No password or prompt came up when I activated the program, I was just given a "default" wallet.
  • No seed was given at any point.

If you really want some help, stop lying.
What you are saying is simply wrong. Either be honest, or give up.



Passwords cannot be recovered whereas private keys can be recovered by heading onto Addresses -> Right-click on the address -> Private key. I guess you need password to access the private key (not sure as I am away from my PC)

Definitely, yes.
You can not export private keys without entering the password. The password is needed to decrypt the private keys.

Would be quite senseless if you wouldn't be able to send transactions, bu view the private keys without the password.
