It mainly depends on BTC and its behaviour rather than on ETH. ETH keeps disappointing investors throughout past two years and if ETH 2.0 would not change things, I hardly doubt that this coin would ever come back to 1k USD.

Yeah because the dominance of bitcoin is much greater in the crypto market, so I think the downtrend signal ends not on ETH but bitcoin. everyone will look at bitcoin market first to determine their choice of buying or selling, that is the fact. we often see that when the price of bitcoin falls, it is certain that many people will sell their assets including altcoin. ETH has an effect but only a small part.
