$80 barely buys a nice dinner around here... i know it may go further in other parts of the world but still... how much would it be? a month's worth of food?

Here it would be like a year worth of food, just not very balanced, mostly grain based (discarded from other countries for "reasons" such as worms, which you get to clean out first). Its how most people have been surviving, those that didn't gave up and left already anyway.

Did i mention the "socialist" min wage here is equivalent to about 2 USD a month for a full time job? Yup, not even the Liberals manage to fulfill a no min wage like a Socialist can. Its all about telling people something, and having reality produce the opposite effect. If you are in doubt, blame America, its always THEIR fault...
