Fees might be a factor but not actually be enough that pushing people to leave ETH and keep Bitcoin. It just people have foreseen that Bitcoin meant to be more profitable at this time but I believe many investors are still keeping ETH for sure. The current situation is very challenging and anytime, those weak hands will sell their ETH at cheap price bringing prices to drop down more.

It is impossible that investors are losing confidence in ethereum just because the fees are a little bit higher than usual, what it's happening is that during a long time ethereum had no competitors and it could monopolize the altcoin market, but after some time many competitors appeared and now many worthwhile projects are being released outside the ethereum network, this is lowering the demand for ethereum when the market conditions are not ideal so it's price cannot recover.

When there is price fall we cannot sure that people will focus on ethereum as their investment option. Finally every trader and investors looking to to put their investment on positive altcoin which can grow stronger and can give profit.
