Everyone has to start somewhere. Everyone is newbie in the start but that doesn't mean he cannot invest money. One can read as many articles as he wants but nothing can substitute real experience of market. So I would suggest to start with like $10-20 and learn about the markets and then grow overtime.

I just gave a basis for that. I know that experience is the best teacher, but when you enter a risky place without any knowledge, I think you will only make a few dollars of the money you have.

even some professionals, or even beginners, need a basis to know what they are going to do. I am sure, if they already have that basis, when they enter the market, they will not try blindly, but with predictions, speculations, and analysis, although that also does not guarantee us to get a profit.
