One time in my more adventurous days as a psychonaut, pre-Bitcoin and darknet, I ordered some amanita muscaria from the internet just to try it out, as I heard its also supposed to get you high, but in a different way than cubensis. So my roommate and I munched the whole things down, and proceeded to develop flu-like symptoms. Covered in sweat, I decided it was time for a nap and slept it out, while my roommate was afraid if he slept he might die, and powered through it like a viking.

Turns out you're only supposed to eat certain parts of it! Had I learned that information earlier I wouldn't have eaten the parts containing strychnine. Probably ate enough of it to kill a dozen rats. However, we both lived, by the grace of Oden.
