Another factor is that casinos know this an they try to exploit it, many casinos offer free drinks to gamblers which are making important bets, this is not a courtesy it is a trap, what they are expecting is that you do not think rationally and you decide to gamble even more money, but the solution to this is easy as well, do not drink while you gamble.

In order to restrain oneself from not bring the precious assets to gambling place, the person must understand the worth of his holding himself. Once he realize that, obviously he wont take any risks with them. Greed is the strongest factor here which blinds players and they make big bets. Money is indeed the most attractive thing of this world. Recovering loss becomes passion and winning it for free is addictive.
