If you check and it's there on their website that they are accepting cryptocurrency as a donation you can do that. But if not, you can still reach out to them to know whether they are accepting it and if they agree, you can request for their address and then send.

True, have been in a situation like this and it can be so frustrating. That's one of the reasons why Bitcoin is much better than all these other payment methods, you wouldn't have to worry about situations like this because you're completely in control of everything.
