The New York Southern District Court has ruled on the side of the United States government to involve in a case against Jon Barry Thompson. He is the person who is accused of a $7 million Bitcoin scam. The New York Judge, Loretta A. Preska ruled on Nov 19 and granted the U.S. government the right to intervene in the civil proceeding. Another scam. Not the first, not the final. But government involved in scam? It's something new for me, another bad news for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
