No one is forcing you to do it. If you wish to claim the reward which can be sold on Exchanges immediately you need to upload ID.. If you don't want to join then no need.

KYC/AML documentation is required for any social media platform and most crypto exchanges. Soon it will be made mandatory for all these platforms and exchanges with stronger regulation to come in globally.
