but if you're playing the long term game its much easier to be right and choose a coin that will pump at some point

Your math doesn't make any sense. First of all, if you invest all your money into 3 coins and they go x10, you still only make x10. Secondly, how does 3 coins like this make x1,000? As far as finding the projects that are going to go up 50%, you really can't tell. However, you can tell when there's going to be a price increase by looking at different technical analysis. You won't be able to guarantee that there will be 50% or more. You may only get 10%, but you may get lucky and find a coin that is being pumped and make that. Just look at how much money it would take to raise the price up 50%. That's probably your best bet in finding these 50%+ coins.
