Exactly, that is a part of our contribution to our nation to pay a small amount just for the improvement of our society. Being good citizen we must pledge an amount that comes from our earning to develop to our country. That what we called, taxes. Building roads contracting building, that what our taxes do. I dont know what OP's thinking something like irresponsible human beings and lives alone on the island.
Paying taxes is not that hard if we work harder for our future. we also benefit from our payments like helping us when there are disasters, for our securities and more and paying taxes is not just giving our funds for nothing. it also help others with the money we pay to the government and at the same time helps us in future.
